Manipur registers five deaths, 346 new cases Monda

Four of them had co-morbidities; two of them had taken the 2nd dose while three of them had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2046.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday Manipur registered five Covid-related deaths, 346 positive cases and 333 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the five persons who succumbed to the deadly virus, three are from Imphal West and one each from Imphal West and Bishnupur. Four of them had co-morbidities; two of them had taken the 2nd dose while three of them had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2046.

Of the 346 persons from the general population who tested positive, 134 are from Imphal West, 83 from Imphal East, 23 from Tamenglong, 18 Thoubal, 15 from Kakching, 14 each from Bishnupur, Kangpokpi and Senapati, 13 from Churachandpur, nine from Chandel, five from Noney and three from Tengnoupal. Altogether, 1,974 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 17.6 %.

Meanwhile, 333 persons recovered and were discharged, 262 from home isolation, 51 from CCCs, five from RIMS and 15 from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 95.47 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 33,256 out of which 1,27,226 have recovered, leaving 3,806 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on January 30, 2022, is 6,303, the cumulative number of doses administered is 24,98,548 (1st dose 14,23,719, 2nd dose 10,47,232) and precautionary 27,597.

There is total of 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 77 are occupied while 223 are vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 37 are occupied and 153 are vacant.
