Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday, Manipur registered 2 Covid related deaths, 236 new positive cases (217 general population 19 CAPF) and 227 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
Both the persons who succumbed to the deadly virus belonged to Imphal West and none of them were vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1817.
The 217 persons (105 males, 112 females) from the general population who tested positive include 115 from Imphal West, 35 from Imphal East, 29 from Ukhrul, 10 from Churachandpur, 8 from Bishnupur, 7 from Senapati, 6 each from Kamjong and Thoubal, 5 each from Kakching and Kangpokpi, 4 each from Chandel and Tengnoupal and 2 from Jiribam..
Altogether, 3,082 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 7.7 %.
Of the 227 persons who were discharged, 71 were from home isolation, 96 from CCCs, 47 from CHICs, 8 from RIMS and 5 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.23 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,17,697 (General Population – 1, 13,504, Central Security Personnel 4,193). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 13,59 (General Population – 1, 09,125, Central Security Personnel – 4,134). The number of active cases is 2,621 (General Population – 2,507, Personnel – 54).
The total number of doses administered on September 14, 2021, is 5,359 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,06,776 (1st dose 12,09,125, 2nd dose 3,97,006)
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 15 is 601 out of which 495 are general beds while 106 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 15 is 3467 out of which 836 are occupied and 2631 are vacant.
