Manipur registers 150 more positive cases Sunday

Imphal: Manipur reported three Covid related deaths, 150 new positive cases (149 general population one CAPF) and 134 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday,  as per an official release from the health department.

Of the 149 persons who tested positive from the general population, 61 are from Imphal West, 38 from Imphal East, 12 from Bishnupur, nine each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul, five from Thoubal and one each from Chandel, Kangpokpi and Tamenglong. 

Altogether, 2,020 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 7.4 %

Meanwhile, of the 134 persons who recovered and were discharged, 42 are from home isolation, 76 from CCCs, six from RIMS and 10 from JNIMS.  The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.04 %

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 22,003 out of which 1,18,389 have recovered leaving 1,729 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 9, 2021, is 5, 996 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 17, 70,749 (1st dose 12,30,951, 2nd dose 5,34,798).

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 10 is 548 out of which 445 are general beds while 103 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available at various CCCs of the state on October 10 is 3372 out of which 560 are occupied while 2812 are vacant.
