Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Sunday, Manipur reported a below double-figure death of 8, 637 positive cases from the general population and 6 positive cases among the personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). 622 persons also recovered and were discharged during the same period, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 8 persons who succumbed to Covid-19 on Saturday include 2 each from Imphal West, Imphal East and Churachandpur and 1 each from Bishnupur and Tengnoupal. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1196.
The 637 persons (320 males 317 females) from the general population who tested positive include 242 from Imphal West, 145 from Imphal East, 76 from Thoubal, 65 from Churachandpur, 58 from Bishnupur, 15 from Chandel, 13 from Kangpokpi, 10 from Kakching, 5 from Ukhrul and 2 each from Tengnoupal, Jiribam and Tamenglong.
Meanwhile, 602 persons recovered and were discharged, which include 234 from CHICs 226 from home isolation, 116 from CCCs, 23 from RIMS and 3 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 89.82 %
The cumulative number of positive cases is 72,286 (General Population – 68,426 and Central Security Personnel – 3,860). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 64,931 (General Population – 61,145 and Central Security Personnel – 3,786). The number of active cases is 6,159(General Population – 6,090 and Central Security Personnel – 69).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 2194D type Oxygen Cylinders and 361B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 441D type 46B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (105D, 18B), Chandel (33D, 7B), Churachandpur (59D, 0B), Senapati (46D, 6B), Thoubal (52D, 27B), Ukhrul (35D, 18B), Tamenglong (20D, 0B), Jiribam (48D, 13B), Moreh (12D, 6B), Kangpokpi (3D, 0B), Kamjong (3D, 2B), Kakching (17D, 15B), Noney (2D, 0B) and Pherzawl (6D, 2B). CCCs have 334D and 123B filled oxygen cylinders available Sunday.
23,368 persons were vaccinated on June July 3, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 7,29,061 (1st dose 6,43,311, 2nd dose 85,750).
