Manipur records 235+ cases, 60 recoveries, no death Monday

Imphal: Manipur reported no Covid-related death but 235 persons (220 general population 15 CAPF) tested positive while 60 persons recovered and were discharged in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of monday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 220 persons from the general population who tested positive, 102 are from Imphal West, 65 from Imphal East, 12 from Thoubal, 10 from Kakching, seven from Bishnupur, six from Senapati, five from Chandel, four each from Churachandpur and Kangpokpi, two from Jiribam and one each from Kamjong, Tamenglong and Tengoupal.

Altogether, 1,974 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 11.9 %.

Meanwhile, 60 persons recovered and were discharged, 28 from home isolation, 24 from CCCs six from JNIMS and two from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 97.28 %

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 27,493 out of which 1,24,021 have recovered, leaving 1457 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on January 16, 2022, is 1,881, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,87,436 (1st dose 13,61,821, 2nd dose 10,19,550) and precautionary 6,065.

There a total of 190 covid beds in JNIMS, out of which74 are occupied while 116 are vacant while in RIMS there are 300 Covid beds, out of which 18 are occupied and 282 are vacant, the release added.
