Imphal: Manipur reported 2 Covid related deaths, 292 new positive cases (288 general population 4 CAPF) and 212 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading upto 2 pm of Saturday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
Both the expired persons belong to Imphal West and one of them had co-morbidities while none of them have been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1809.
The 288 persons (137 males, 151 females) from the general population who tested positive include 152 from Imphal West, 40 from Imphal East, 16 from Ukhrul, 15 from Churachandpur 10 each from Kamjong and Senapati, 9 from Kakching, 6 from Thoubal, 5 each from Bishnupur and Kangpokpi, 2 from Chandel and 1 each from Noney Pherzawl and Tengnoupal.
Altogether 3,229 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 9.0 % on Saturday.
Of the 212 persons who were discharged, 96 were from home isolation, 71 from CCCs, 33 from CHICs, 3 from RIMS and 9 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.02 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,16,899 (General Population – 1, 12,728, Central Security Personnel 4,171). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 12,243 (General Population – 1, 08,116, Central Security Personnel – 4,127). The number of active cases is 2,847 (General Population – 2,808, Personnel – 39).
The total number of doses administered on September 10, 2021, is 5,934 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,90,822 (1st dose 11,99,970, 2nd dose 3,90,850)
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 11 is 553 out of which 447 are general beds while 106 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 11 is 3467 out of which 794 are occupied and 2773 are vacant.
