Imphal: Manipur below 606 new positive cases amongst the general population out of a total of 4,954 persons tested for a positivity rate of 12.2% in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday.
The state also reported 10 Covid related deaths and 723 recoveries during the same period, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 10 persons who succumbed to the deadly pandemic, include three from Imphal East, Imphal West and Bishnupur and one from Churachandpur. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,674.
Of these 10 persons who expired, eight of them had co-morbidities while one had been vaccinated with the 1st dose and another one had been vaccinated with both doses.
The 606 persons (304 males, 302 females) who tested positive from amongst the general population include 267 from Imphal West, 89 from Imphal East, 74 from Bishnupur, 46 from Churachandpur, 29 from Thoubal, 24 from Kakching, 20 each from Chandel and Ulhrul, nine from Pherzawl seven form Kangpokpi, six from Tengnoupal, five each from Tamenglong and Senapati, four fromm Jiribam and one from Noney.
Meanwhile, 723 persons were discharged which include 360 from home isolation, 161 from CHICs, 165 from CCCs, 7 from JNIMS and 30 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 91.95% on Sunday.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,06,030(General Population – 1,01,969, Central Security Personnel – 4,061). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 97,499(General Population – 93,514, Central Security Personnel – 3,985). The number of active cases is 6,857(General Population – 6,786, Personnel – 71).
Altogether, 8,151 were vaccinated on August 10, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 14,14,880(1st dose 11,57,377, 2nd dose 2,57,503).
The total number of vacant hospital beds available in the state as of August 10 is 225 which include 156 general beds and 69 ICU/HDU beds.
Of the total 3547 beds available in CCCs in the state, 1326 are occupied while 2221 are vacant, the release added.
