Imphal: The Congress Tuesday announced 10 more candidates in its second list for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election 2022.
The party had already announced 40 candidates last week. With the second list, Congress is yet to reveal names for 10 remaining seats.
Pukhrem Sharatchandra, former BJP MLA, who joined the grand old party on Monday after failing to secure a ticket, will contest from his present constituency, Moirang.

Ningthoujam Biren Singh and Ningthoujam Joykumar who joined the Congress along with P Sharatchandra Momday will contest from Sekmai and Bishnupur respectively.
Hijam Nutanchandra from Thangmeiband will replace Kh Joykishan who joined JD(U) last week.
Seeking to defeat the BJP-led government in Manipur, Congress has joined hands with five other political parties to form a pre-poll alliance.
The Congress is poll sharing responsibility with CPI, CPI(M), RSP, JD(S) and Forward Block in coming assembly elections. Polling for 60 assembly seats in Manipur will be held in two phases on February 27 and March 3. With agency inputs
