Manipur logs two more deaths Wednesday

Imphal: Manipur logs two Covid-related deaths, 210 positive cases (206 general population 4 CAPF) and 144 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday, as per an official release from the health department.

The two persons who succumbed to the deadly virus were from Imphal West and Imphal East, and the cumulative death toll in the state rose to 1,854. One of those who expired had co-morbidities, one had been vaccinated with the! st, dose while the other has been vaccinated with the 2nd dose of Covid.

Of the 206 persons who tested positive, 105 are from Imphal West, 49 from Imphal East, 18 from Ukhrul, seven from Bishnupur, six from Tamenglong, three from Chandel, 2 each from Kamjong, Senapati, Tengnoupal and Thoubal.

Altogether, 2,794 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 7.5 %

Of the 144 persons who were discharged, 48 are from home isolation, 80 from CCCs, eight from CHICs, three from RIMS and 10 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.63 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,20,426 out of which 1, 16,365 have recovered leaving 2,207 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on September 28, 2021, is 8,064 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,89,917 (1st dose 12,21,557, 2nd dose 4,68,360).

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 29 is 558 out of which 449 are general beds while 109 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 28 is 3467 out of which 649 are occupied and 2818 are vacant.
