Manipur logs 15 Covid positive cases, 12 recoveries Tuesday

Of the 15 persons who tested positive, eight are from Imphal West, two each from Imphal East and Bishnupur and one each from Churachandpur, Kakching and Ukhrul.

Imphal: At least 15 persons tested positive, 12 persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday in Manipur. During the same period there was no report of any Covid-related death in the State, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 15 persons who tested positive, eight are from Imphal West, two each from Imphal East and Bishnupur and one each from Churachandpur, Kakching and Ukhrul. Altogether, 510 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.9 %.

Meanwhile, 12 persons recovered, 10 from home isolation and two from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.42 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 697 of which 1, 37,491 have recovered leaving 59 active cases in the state.

As on August 29, 2022, 411 D-type oxygen cylinders and 103 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 30, 2022 is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which two are occupied and 36 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which three are occupied and 59 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 29, is 3,775, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,76,467 (1st dose 16,29,436, 2nd dose 13,03,436) and precautionary dose is 2,43,384.
