Manipur: Health camp held for displaced people

During the medical camp, a team of doctors specialized in Paediatrics, Medicine, Psychiatry, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Cardiology provided medical consultations to about 430 people

Imphal: A one-day health check up camp was jointly organised Wednesday for the displaced persons lodged in the relief camp opened at Naorem Birahari College, Khundrakpam, Imphal East District by the Chief Medical Officer, Imphal East, Indian Medical Association, Indian Red Cross Society, Trained Nurses Association of India, Manipur Chemists and Druggists Association and CC School Friends Manipur, an alumni of past students of the school. 

During the medical camp, a team of doctors specialized in Paediatrics, Medicine, Psychiatry, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Cardiology provided medical consultations to about 430 people who have been stationed at the Relief camp and 150 persons who required medical attention were provided with necessary health check up and medicines. 

Ultrasound facility was also provided to those patients in need of it with the help of a portable ultrasound machine. In the second phase, the combined team will hold another medical checkup camp on 11th May, 2023 at a designated relief camp opened at Imphal West District as a humanitarian gesture to the displaced persons.
