Imphal: The Congress party has suspended Kh Joykisan, MLA of Thangmeiband constituency on Tuesday.
The party has also appointed Kh Ratankumar as the working president of the Manipur Congress.
Hareshwar Goswami said in an order that on the recommendation of the Disciplinary Action Committee, MPCC, the president, MPCC has decided to suspend Kh. Joykisan Singh from the Indian National Congress (INC) under Article XIX of the Constitution of the Indian National Congress read with Clause (h) of ‘MISCELLANEOUS’ provided under Article XXVII of the said Constitution.
On his suspension, Kh. Joykisan Singh ceased to be a primary member of the Indian National Congress with immediate effect, it was added.
Meanwhile AICC, KC Venugopal issued an order on Monday appointing Kh Ratankumar as the working president of Manipur Congress.
Ratankumar in a social network platform thanked Congress Chief, Sonia Gandhi and other Congress leaders for appointing him as the working president.
