Manipur CM lists achievements, extends New Year wishes to people

The Chief Minister also expressed his appreciation for all the communities in the state as they supported the government’s ‘War on Drugs’ campaign and  their trust in the public administration.

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh Friday conveyed his best wishes to the people of Manipur on the joyous occasion of the New Year, 2023. The Chief Minister also listed achievements by his government during the past year.

“The year 2022 was a year of progress and achievement for the state of Manipur,” said Biren, and continued that several development projects were taken up in different sectors, including health, education, roads, start-ups, and sports, among others.

The state government, the chief minister said, considering the importance of the well being of the people, has also developed amusement parks, open gyms, and Kangla Nongpok Torban.

After a gap of two years, the Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 was held in a grand manner at different venues across the state, along with the inauguration of Sangai Ethnic Park, he contended.

The Chief Minister also expressed his appreciation for all the communities in the state as they supported the government’s ‘War on Drugs’ campaign and  their trust in the public administration. 

Biren also urged the people to seize the opportunity by showcasing our potential and move forward with the state hosting the G20 summit in September 2023.

As the Chief Minister prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people, Biren also sought cooperation and support from the public to  make Manipur a world class tourist destination and to achieve self reliance.
