Imphal: Manipur has achieved another health award for achieving the target for operationalization of AB-Health & Wellness Centre.
The award was handed over to Minister Health and IPR Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh on the second and closing Day of the Universal Health Coverage Day, 2022 which was held at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Sunday..
It may be mentioned that the state has also been honored as the best state for Tele-Consultation amongst the small states of India on the first day. The Government of India has so far approved 345, SHC, 85 PHCs and 9 UPHCs out of which 308 SHCs, 87 PHCs and 9 UPHCs have been made operational in the state as on 6th December, 2022. The operational percentage is 100.2% as per record.
The award for achieving the target for operationalization of AB-Health & Wellness Centre was handed over to Health & IPR Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan and SMD, National Health Mission Manipur, Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.
The Ministerial team from Manipur also had a detailed discussion with the Union Health Minister, Health, on various health programs including PMJAY with special reference to the state.
