Shillong: The Government of Meghalaya, in a notification issued, has ordered the creation of Lumshnong C&RD Block in East Jaintia Hills District with immediate effect.
This was informed by the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, C&RD Department.
Lumshnong C&RD Block shall comprise of the villages of Borsora, Brishyrnot, Chiehruphi, Dona Bhoi, Dona Skul, Dona Umbluh, Hingaria, Huroi, Kuliang, Lahalein, Larseng, Lejri, Lummyrli, Lumphyllut, Lumshnong, Lumsohki, Lumtongseng, Malidor, Musiang Lamare (New), Musiang Lamare (Old), Mynkre, Nongrim Hills, Nongsning, Pandare, Pyrtakuna, Ratacherra, Rungchera, Sakhri, Shymplong, Sonapyrdi, Sunachera, Thangskai, Tongseng (Narpuh), Umkiang, Umlaper, Umlong, Umrasiang, Umrasong, Umstain, Umtyra, Wahiajer, Wakhoh, Bambaithol, Diruphai, Dimasitung, Kaiengphai, Kaiengpur, Kaizakham, Khaddum, Nachangzol, New Michikhur, P. Zoar, Saitual, Sakwa, Salain and Sialkan.
With this creation, the above-listed villages will cease to exist in their respective earlier C&RD Blocks, said a press note.
