Kolasib: Kolasib Deputy Commissioner, Dr H Lalthlangliana along with Dr Engkunga Chhangte, DVO and other officials from Kolasib district visited the Covid19 Screening point at Vairengte and inspected the preparation to contain the emerging second wave of Covid19, Friday.
The team visited Vairengte Police station and Community Health Centre, interacted with the workers on the preparations and status of resources available to continue the screening of travellers across the inter-state borders.
In the meeting with the NGOs of Vairengte, Dr Engkunga Chhangte, District Veterinary Officer, emphasised the importance of awareness to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever.
It was also pointed out that a separate establishment is required to conduct the inspection of animals entering the state in order to prevent possible ASF outbreak.
