Chandel: The Chairperson of Manipur Human Rights Commission, Justice UB Saha visited Chandel District on Saturday. The Chairperson was accompanied by his team from the Manipur Human Rights Commission. During his visit, the Chairperson interacted with different community Leaders and the District Level officers at the Conference Hall, DC complex, Chandel.
During the interaction, the Chairperson urged the people of the district to speak up for their rights and inform the Commission if there is any form of human rights violation in the district. Different village heads, and leaders of civil society organizations brought up some issues faced by the public during the interaction with the Chairperson
The Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar elucidated on the technical and administrative aspects of some of the issues brought up by the public during the interaction.
The chairperson also visited some of the villages and interacted with the villagers in person.
Today’s program was attended by ADC Chandel Md. Firoj Khan, SDOs, DLOs, village heads, and leaders of the civil societies of the district.
