Just one positive case Thursday in Manipur

Imphal: One person from the general population tested Covid-19 positive while seven persons recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Thursday in Manipur. During the same period there were no reports of any Covid related death, as per an official press note from the Covid-19 Common Control Room

The one person who tested positive is a male resident of Imphal West. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing has been put in place.

Of the seven persons who recovered  Thursday, five of them were in home isolation while two of them are from SHRI.

The cumulative death remains at 374 while the recovery rate now stands at 98.51%.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,401(General Population — 25,957 and Central Security Personnel — 3,444). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,963 (General Population — 25,530 and CAPF— 3,433). The number of active cases is 64 (general population 57 and CAPF 7).

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 31, is 287 and the cumulative vaccination number is 86331, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 315613 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
