Their opponents for tomorrow are ranked just above them in the fourth position, with two wins and one loss.

In the last match, JFC played out a 1-1 draw to Hyderabad FC, while ATK Mohun Bagan suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat to Mumbai City FC in their last match.

“ATKMB are a team that’s at the top end of the league every year. It’s a wonderful team with a fantastic coach and great players. They are dangerous opponents and more so with the fire and motivation of trying to get back to winning again. We know we are in for a tough game and we have to make sure we are ready for that challenge,” Jamshedpur FC coach Owen Coyle said while addressing the media ahead of the match.

“I think this is a very tough week. Jamshedpur FC has never qualified for the playoffs so we have to work bit-by-bit to get better. And that’s what we continue to do. We have to concentrate on what we are doing and what we are doing well. We have to keep that going,” he said.

Coyle said, “There are very good teams in the league. Some clubs are spending big money each year. We have to make sure that we are at our best to compete with those teams. Slowly but surely we are building a good team. Everything takes time.”

“The league is very competitive. There are very good teams in the league. Some clubs are spending big money each year. We have to make sure that we are at our best to compete with those teams. Slowly but surely we are building a good team. Everything takes time,” he said.

“I was looking at how I could improve the team it was important that I try to find that type of player. Greg’s a player I have known for many years. When he was available to leave Glasgow Rangers, I did everything in my ability to bring him to the club. I believe the more we work together, the better we will be. Greg’s hungry to do well and has a great work ethic. It’s never about one or two games, it’s about how you perform over the course of the league,” Coyle said.

“Ishan Pandita is a valued member of the team. At the end of the day for all the strikers we have, we can’t play them all at the same time. When the chance arises he will be prepared to take it,” he added.

On the other, ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Antonio Habas wants his team to put the past behind and brace themselves for the next game, as his side faces Jamshedpur FC.

The two-time Hero ISL winner revealed that his team have no excuses and backed his players to bounce back after the 5-1 defeat against rivals Mumbai City FC.

Further, Habas added that the last match’s loss doesn’t affect his strategies for Monday’s game and hailed the match against Jamshedpur FC to be a fair and competitive one.

He said Jamshedpur FC coach Owen Coyle is a serious coach “I respect him for what he’s done with Jamshedpur FC. I believe that the match will be a competitive one,” Habas said.

He said Jamshedpur have a quality midfield with several foreign players and Indian players. They are a difficult team and a competitive one, with a solid attack and defence.

“ It’s very important for me to not keep looking for excuses. Mumbai got the better of us this time. I have experienced many good seasons with Kolkata, and one day there’s a possibility of losing such a big match but you have to analyse it. It’s football, anything is possible here,” Habas said.

“The players are also humans, not just the players you see from outside. They have the determination to give their 100% in their performances in such situations. So, we did improve immediately in the last match,” he said.

“We have to continue with our philosophy, step by step in every match. I can’t take one match’s result into the next match because in this league you immediately play the next match in three days, so we have to bounce back which I believe is a good thing,” Habas added.
