“Jai Jai Maha Mazha”song will be adopted from Shivaji Maharaj birth anniversary: Munganttiwar

According to the paragraph number 2 of this government decision, the Maharashtra song "Jai Jai Maharashtra Mazha" will be adopted on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary.

Mumbai: Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Munganttiwar said that Maharashtra song “Jai Jai Maharashtra Mazha” will be adopted from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj birth anniversary which will be celebrated on February 19 across the state.

In his press statement issued last night stated that, the Maharashtra State Anthem has been announced in a Government Decision issued by the General Administration Department on February 1,2023.

According to the paragraph number 2 of this government decision, the Maharashtra song “Jai Jai Maharashtra Mazha” will be adopted on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary.

On February 19, 2023, at 10 AM, all the concerned senior officers and concerned heads of offices should offer floral tributes to the image by singing the state anthem of the state of Maharashtra.

It has also been instructed to organize a small cultural ceremony after that,added Mr Munganttiwar.
