New Delhi: India registered 11,499 Covid-19 cases, while the daily positivity rate stood at 1.01 percent in the country, as per the Health Ministry data on Saturday.
As many as 255 fresh Covid fatalities were also recorded, taking the total death count in the country to 513481 The active cases currently stand at 1,21,881 which now comprise 0.28 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has decreased to 98.52 per cent.
Meanwhile, 23,598 recoveries were also reported, increasing the total to 4,22,70,482. According to the bulletin 76.57 Crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
“India has administered 177.13 doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said. More than 174.71 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far.
Over 11.80 Crores balance and unutilized Covid vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, the ministry said.
