New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said the country needs quick and complete vaccination not ‘excuses to cover up vaccine crunch caused by the Centre’s inaction’.
Taking to Twitter, he said, ‘India needs quick & complete vaccination- not BJP’s usual brand of lies & rhyming slogans to cover-up vaccine shortage caused by Modi Govt’s inaction.”
He alleged that the government, in an attempt to save the PM’s image, was facilitating the spread of the virus and costing people’s lives.
‘GOI’s constant attempts to save PM’s fake image are facilitating the virus & costing people’s lives,’ he added.
Along with this, he also tagged a news in which scientists say that they did not give any advice to double the time period between two doses of corona vaccine.
However, Chairman of National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (NTAGI), Dr N K Arora said that the decision to increase gap between Covishield doses was taken on scientific evidence and there was no dissent among NTAGI members regarding it .
