Imphal West dist adm to speed up vaccination through ‘Targeted Vaccination’

All coaching tuition centres (for Class IX and above) including private tuition centres must furnish the number of students along with the batches and their vaccination status.

Imphal: Deputy Commissioner Imphal West in an order issued on January 23 has directed certain measures to speed up vaccination by having Targeted Vaccination in view of the rise of coronavirus positive cases in the district.

The measures for educational institutes entails that all Eligible students of the age group L5-L7 years should be vaccinated as early as possible. All Heads of Schools in the District should mandatorily record the status of Vaccination in the school record. ZEO will collect week-wise status on the progress every Saturday. Defaulting schools will be served notice. 

All coaching tuition centres (for Class IX and above) including private tuition centres must furnish the number of students along with the batches and their vaccination status. These centres should share the details of vaccination status with the office of the Deputy Commissioner through the Office of ZEO Zone-I or ZEO Wangoi. Non-submission will invite a detailed police inspection of the Centres. 

All Heads of colleges and Registrars of Universities should ensure that students and scholars are vaccinated and their vaccination status should be submitted to the DC, Imphal West through Addl. Director, Education (U). 

Vaccination of all eligible population is of utmost importance considering the ensuing Elections. Booth level Officers/Bl0s should compile the vaccination status of all eligible electors to identify those who have not taken the 1st Dose, or persons due for 2nd dose. 

All employees of government establishments who are in one way or the other involved in election process and persons involved in elections have been categorized as Front Line Workers such FLWHCW can avail the precautionary/booster dosage after 90 days of 2nd dose of Covishield. the vaccination team will go down to each office room in all Government offices by. All Heads of Departments/Offices should inform their employees to attend offices and get the required jab (whichever is required) and accordingly submit the latest Vaccination as on January 31, 2022 b the Office of DC, Imphal West, the order added.
