Imphal: District Magistrate, Imphal West, Naorem Praveen Singh has in an order issued on Thursday directed the management of the HVS Oxygen Plant, Patsoi, Imphal West to stop the supply of oxygen for non-medical purposes and help in augmenting the supply of oxygen for medical purposes.
The order further directs HVS Oxygen Plant, Patsoi to furnish daily report on the production of oxygen (to be quantified), daily report on supply of oxygen, indicating the details of the oxygen procuring firms and daily balance of oxygen (to be quantified).
It also directed all concerned to allow free movement of oxygen-carrying vehicles to hospitals and clinics without any restriction of timings.
This order takes immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders. Non-compliance of this will be viewed seriously, it also warned.
