Kabul: Hundreds of Afghan security officers surrendered to the Taliban in the area around Afghanistan’s northern city of Kunduz, located close to the border with Tajikistan, provincial council member Amruddin Wali told Agence France-Presse on Wednesday.

According to Wali, hundreds of “soldiers, police and uprising forces surrendered to the Taliban with all their military gear.”
