Humanity should unite against Israel: Erdogan tells Pope

The escalating conflict between Israel and Palestine from past 8 days has resulted in a large number of casualties, including women and children.

Ankara: Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday told Pope Francis over a phone call that all humanity should unite against Israel which is currently involved in a fierce confrontation with the Palestine.

“All humanity should unite against ”occupier Israel” which does not hesitate to attack sanctuaries,” Mr Erdogan said as quoted by news agency Anadolu.

The escalating conflict between Israel and Palestine from past 8 days has resulted in a large number of casualties, including women and children.

Erdogan accused United Nations Security Council of not displaying necessary sense of responsibility.

United Nations (UN) Security Council on Sunday held an open debate on the situation, during which countries around the world called for an immediate end to the bloodshed.
