Imphal: On 07 May 2026, Assam Rifles in collaboration with Emmanuel Hospital organised a humanitarian relief distribution programme for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in Buallian and Panglian camps in Churachandpur district, Manipur. The initiative was undertaken to support displaced families and alleviate the hardships they continue to face in meeting essential daily requirements. 

Buallian IDP Camp currently accommodates 121 households with a total of 611 persons, while Panglian IDP Camp houses 30 households comprising 170 persons. Together, the relief programme benefitted 210 households, covering approximately 1,000 displaced individuals. Kitchen items and essential supplies were distributed during the event, with representatives of the camps and local volunteers actively participating in the process. 

The outreach provided immediate assistance to families while also reinforcing the importance of humanitarian support in times of difficulty. The interaction between Assam Rifles personnel and the camp residents created an environment of trust and cooperation, enabling displaced communities to feel supported and valued.
