Higher classes likely to open from Sep 1 in Assam

Assam government on Monday further eased the COVID 19 restrictions reducing curfew timings from 7 PM to 5 AM.

Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Ranuj Pegu on Tuesday said schools and colleges in Assam are likely to re-open from September 1 for classes 10,12 and final semester students.

Pegu said that a final decision on the re-opening of classes is awaiting approval of the Assam cabinet. The state education minister said that a special SOP is being prepared for the resumption of classes in schools and colleges. However, no decision has been taken as of yet for the resumption of the lower classes.
