Ranchi: Hemant Soren-led government on Monday won the vote of confidence in the Jharkhand Assembly, with the entire opposition staging a walkout.
At least 48 votes were cast in favour of the trust vote.
Responding on behalf of the government on the motion of confidence, Chief Minister Soren attacked the BJP and the NDA government at the centre. Soren said till now he had heard about buying clothes, vegetables and ration, but the work of buying MLAs is being done by the BJP.
He urged the Governor to end the suspense on the matter relating to the office of profit case and said the UPA alliance is ready to give a befitting and legal answer under any circumstances.
Soren said the UPA had got a clear majority in the 2019 assembly elections but has the government opted to go for the trust vote to inform the people across the nation about certain developments.
