Amaravati: Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Friday.


In a daily weather report here, it said a Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema on October 14, 15, and 18.


Heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in the Krishna and Prakasam districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and YSR district and Anantapuram district of Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.


Southwest monsoon has been active in Rayalaseema.


Rainfall occurred at many places in Rayalaseema and a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam of Puducherry, the report added.
