‘Har Ghar Tiranga’: Nat’l flags to be distributed Wednesday, says DC Kangpokpi

The idea behind the initiative is to invoke a sense of ownership in the people and to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in the spirit of community participation.

Kangpokpi: Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi, Kengoo Zuringla, Tuesday said that the District Administration Kangpokpi is gearing up for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (HGT) campaign which will be celebrated as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

She informed that for the HGT Campaign, National Flags will be distributed Wednesday in the district which will be hoisted at the various institutions. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke a sense of ownership in the people and to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in the spirit of community participation.

Deputy Commissioner directed all the Sub-Divisional Officers to collect the National Flags by 10 am, CEO/ADC, ZEO and DPO will collect it by 1 pm and SP, DFO, CMO and other departments by 2 pm from her office tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in a notice issued by her, she said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign has been launched to encourage the citizens of India to hoist the National Flag of India in their homes as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which is being celebrated to commemorate the 75 glorious years of a progressive Independent India.

She called upon each and every citizen to hoist the National Flag of India in their respective households during the Independence Week that is from August 11-17, 2022.

Also, all the Sub-Divisional Officers and District Level Officers of Kangpokpi District, Government of Manipur have been directed to hoist the National Flag of India in their respective Offices/Institutions and hand out the National Flag of India to every household under their jurisdiction for hoisting the National Flag of India during the Independence Week.
