Churachandpur: The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 commenced today across Churachandpur district, with Deputy Commissioner Shri Krishna Kumar, IAS calling upon citizens to actively participate in the nationwide initiative marking India’s 80th Independence Day.
In his address, Krishna Kumar reminded the public that the National Flag is “much more than a piece of cloth,” symbolizing the hopes, aspirations, and sacrifices of millions who fought for freedom. He urged households, institutions, and organizations to hoist the Tiranga with dignity and in accordance with the Flag Code of India, while encouraging collective participation in this celebration of national unity.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the campaign is designed as a people’s movement rather than a government programme alone. To this end, the District Administration has coordinated with government departments, educational institutions, village authorities, and community organizations to organize a series of activities across the district. Exhibitions on the Tiranga and Vande Mataram are being held in schools, colleges, villages, and marketplaces to spread awareness about the history and significance of the National Flag. A district-wide Tiranga Rally is bringing together students, youth, police personnel, and members of the public in a collective expression of patriotism. Cycle and bike rallies, illumination of government buildings, and large Tiranga-themed rangolis at schools, markets, and public places are adding colour and vibrancy to the campaign. National Flags are being distributed to households, and citizens are encouraged to participate in the “Selfie with Tiranga” initiative through the official portal www.harghartiranga.com.
Krishna Kumar made a special appeal to young people to act as ambassadors of the campaign, noting that their creativity and energy could inspire the wider community through rallies, cultural programmes, and social media engagement. “The success of Har Ghar Tiranga depends not on Government efforts alone but on the active participation of every citizen,” he said, urging the people of Churachandpur to mark the occasion with unity, respect, and pride.
The campaign, he added, is intended to become a memorable people’s movement, reflecting the spirit of patriotism and harmony as Churachandpur joins the nation in celebrating this historic Independence Day.
