Kolkata: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar on Tuesday sought an answer from the West Bengal government’s chief economic advisor Dr Amit Mitra that ” Why no CAG audit #GTA (Gorkha Territorial Administration) for TEN years resulting in GTA being labelled ‘den of corruption ?”
” How could Chief Economic Advisor Dr Amit Mitra @Mamata Official overlook and countenance such illegal squandering of public funds ?”
Governor Jagdeep Dhankar asked on his Twitter handle.
” Such dereliction of duty & betrayal of public trust is culpable as it affords cover to wrongdoers. Expect an accountable response,”, the governor wrote.
Mr Dhankar began by saying that the ” Audit Diwas CAG audit promotes transparency, accountability & curbs corruption.”
