Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday announced to set up a task force to deal with the third Covid 19 wave.
Speaking to reporters at state secretariat after cabinet meeting, he said, ”A special task force has been formed under my chairmanship. It will contain 15 members, including private and government doctors.”
The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a special expert committee of doctors, to be headed by Goa Medical College (GMC) Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar, to regularly review Covid treatment protocol.
In the second wave of Covid 19, the state has witnessed highest infection positivity rate.
The Chief Minister also announced that process was afoot to float a global tender for procurement of Covid 19 vaccines.
