Friday marks 3 consecutive days without Covid fatality

Imphal: Manipur for the third consecutive day leading up to 2 pm of Thursday did not report of any Covid related death. During the same period, 17 persons (13 general population, 4 CAPF) tested coronavirus positive while 12 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 13 persons from the general population who tested positive, five each are from Imphal West and Imphal East, two from Thoubal and one Churachandpur.  Altogether, 1,254 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.4 %.

 Meanwhile, 12 persons recovered and were discharged, six of them from home isolation, four from  JNIMSand two from CCCs. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.26 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,778 out of which 1,23,586 have recovered, leaving 190 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on December 29, 2021, is 5,000, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,10,302 (1st dose 13,23,253, 2nd dose 9,87,049).
