Kolkata: Fresh bomb charge was reported near BJP MP Arjun Singh’s house at Jagaddal in North 24 Parganas on Tuesday, barely a day after the Union Home ministry ordered the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe bomb blasts that happened in front of Singh’s house on September 8 last.
Sources said a fresh bomb charge was reported within a 200 mts radius of Singh house at around 9 am today and the Jagaddal station police rushed there to investigate the crime.
There had been no report of any injury in the bomb explosion, which happened on an open field, about 200 mts backside of Singh’s house. BJP MP and his MLA son Pawan Singh stay there.
Meanwhile, the fresh bombing has created panic among the residents of the industrial town of North 24 Parganas.
On September 8, the unidentified miscreants had hurled bombs, two of them happened near the house of BJP MP and another at the post of central armed forces, stationed there for the protection of the politician.
However, there were no reports of injury in the blasts.
Arjun Singh was also not present in his house when the bombs were hurled last week Singh was in Delhi at the time of the incident. He claimed that the ruling people were behind the attack.
He had said that this was done because of BJP’s decision to make him an observer to the Bhawanipur assembly seat for the upcoming by-elections on September 30.
” And this time bomb attack happened after the report of NIA to probe the crime,” said Singh. The NIA is expected to start probing immediately, sources added.
