Arunachal reports 75 new COVID cases, 68 recoveries

The state's COVID recovery rate now stands at 98.51 per cent, while the active caseload a bit increased to 533.

Itanagar: In a reversal of the current trend, Arunachal Pradesh on Monday recorded more daily COVID-19 cases than the daily recoveries.

The hilly state has detected 75 new cases during the past 24 hours that took its tally of confirmed cases to 53,807.

Lower Dibang Valley reported the highest 19 cases, followed by Itanagar Capital Complex 13, Lower Subansiri eight and West Kameng seven.

Of the total cases, 29 were found to be asymptomatic and 46 symptomatic, according to a bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services here.

On the contrary, 68 patients have recuperated in the period that upped the total number of recoveries to 53,004.

The state’s COVID recovery rate now stands at 98.51 per cent, while the active caseload a bit increased to 533.

Arunachal Pradesh on Monday tested 4056 samples for COVID-19 that took the cumulative figure to 10,97,834.

Meanwhile, about 11,000 people were administered the COVID-19 vaccine shots on Monday, taking the cumulative count to 10,44,037, the bulletin said.
