Four more deaths Friday, tally stands at 1,893

Manipur reported four Covid related deaths, 113 positive cases and 109 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, as per an official release from the health department.

Imphal: Manipur reported four Covid related deaths, 113 positive cases and 109 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, as per an official release from the health department.

Of the four persons who succumbed to the deadly virus, two of them are from Imphal West and ine each from Churachandpur and Kakching. Three of those who expired had co-morbidities and one of them has been vaccinated with 2nd dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,893.

63 persons of the 113 who tested positive today are from Imphal West, 26 from Imphal East, eight from Ukhrul, five from Kamjong, three each from Bihsnupur, Churachandpur and Kakching and one each from Kangpokpi and Thoubal. Altogether, 2,618 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 4.3 %.

Meanwhile, of the 109 persons who recovered and were discharged, 32 are from home isolation, 58 from CCCs, one from RIMS and 17 from JNIMS.  The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.28 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 22,545 out of which 1,19,208 have recovered leaving 1,444 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 14, 2021, is 8,580 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 18, 09,538 (1st dose 12,34,665, 2nd dose 5,74,873).

The total numbers of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 15 is 592 out of which 481 are general beds while 101 are ICU beds.
