Flybig starts operation on Guwahati-Agartala-Dibrugarh route

The Flybig will run a pair of 72 seater ATR flights in Guwahati-Agartala-Dibrugarh route thrice in a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Agartala: The maiden flight of Indore based regional airlines Flybig with 67 passengers took off from MBB Airport Agartala today in a water cannon salute for Dibrugarh of Assam after connecting Guwahati, Shillong and Pasighat of Arunachal Pradesh under UDAN, regional connectivity scheme of central government.
The Flybig will run a pair of 72 seater ATR flights in Guwahati-Agartala-Dibrugarh route thrice in a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The flight is scheduled to take off from Guwahati for Agartala at 1035 hrs and land here at 1135 hrs. The same flight will start from Agartala at 1205 hrs for Dibrugarh and will take off from Dibrugarh for Agartala at 1400 hrs and land here at 1545 hrs. The same flight will leave for Guwahati at 1615 hrs.
“The Flybig operations under UDAN scheme would improve regional connectivity and facilitate the marginalised section to make air travel at an affordable cost in Northeastern cities. They also have chartered service on every Friday between Shillong and New Delhi,” airport officials said here.
The airline’s officials claimed that the travel in Flybig is cheaper in the region than any other flight, which will soon connect all other important destinations of Northeast to boost tourism and regional economy. They observed better connectivity among the northeastern cities would widen the scope for mutual economic growth.
