Five test positive Thursday in Manipur

Imphal: Five persons from the general population tested Covid-19 positive while one persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday in Manipur. The five persons (2 males and 3 females) who tested positive include two each from Imphal East and Imphal West while one of them was from Bishnupur. The one person who recovered was from SHRI. The recovery rate now stands at 98.53%.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,367(General Population — 25,925 and Central Security Personnel — 3,442). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,936 (General Population — 25,507 and CAPF— 3,429). The number of active cases is 57 (general population 48 and CAPF 9).

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 24, is 657 and the cumulative vaccination the number is 83749, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 31395which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There are no severe reactions/allergies, adverse event following immunization till date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them have now fully recovered.
