EAM meets visiting Singapore Trade Minister

The meeting between the two sides comes three weeks after the two countries launched a real-time link between India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Singapore’s PayNow to facilitate easier cross-border money transfers.

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday held talks with visiting Singapore Trade Minister Gan Kim Yong and discussed about taking forward the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable process.


In a tweet, he said:
“Good to catch up with Gan Kim Yong, Minister of Trade & Industry of Singapore this afternoon.


“Spoke about taking forward the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable process.”
The meeting between the two sides comes three weeks after the two countries launched a real-time link between India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Singapore’s PayNow to facilitate easier cross-border money transfers.


Earlier on Monday, the Singapore Minister and Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 as part of India’s G20 presidency.


The Singapore Minister and Dharmendra Pradhan also held talks on strengthening linkages in skill development and education through Capacity, Capability and Capital, and also on ‘India-Singapore Knowledge Collaboration’.


On Sunday, the Singapore Minister held talks with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on boosting trade and investment between the two sides.New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday held talks with visiting Singapore Trade Minister Gan Kim Yong and discussed about taking forward the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable process.
