Double vaccination must for visiting Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati: Double vaccination has been mandatory for visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kaziranga National Park (KNP) for both local and foreign tourists coming to the park.

P Sivakumar, Park Director said that the same rules will be applicable for researchers as well as scholars. He added that any person entering the park premises should be fully vaccinated.

All jeep safari operators have been instructed to confirm the status of vaccination of the tourists before taking any bookings. The tourists will have to produce their vaccination certificates before registering for safari.

Visitors are advised to carry their certificates to prevent any risks.
Apart from the certificates, tourists have been directed to compulsorily wear masks and carry sanitisers with them.

The vehicles used for safari are also directed for thorough sanitisation after every trip.
