Kangpokpi: District Skill Committee of Kangpokpi organized a District Skill Mela 2023 under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at the Sadbhavana Mandap, Kangpokpi Headquarters, on Tuesday.
LN Kashung, IAS, Mission Director, Manipur Society for Skill Development, graced the function as Chief Guest; Shri Siile Anthony, Former Director HRD, North-Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong & Joint Registrar, JNU, as Guest of Honor; and Smt. Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi, as President.
The mela was organized focusing on key sectors such as IT, handlooms & handicrafts, agriculture, banking, petrochemicals, healthcare, power, aviation, tourism & habitability, and food processing, among others.
Activities such as information/awareness regarding career opportunities in Japan, awareness of training courses, an entrepreneurship talk, financial literacy awareness, and on-the-spot registration were available to the people at the mela Tuesday.
The function was also attended by Shri Derick L. Khobung, ADM, Kangpokpi, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (MGNF), Shri Ngangbam Bidyasagar Singh, district level officers; and school students, among others.
