Imphal: The District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyam gi Numit was held on Friday by the concerned district administration in various districts of Manipur.
In Kakching, the Kakching District Administration organised the seventh “Meeyamgi Numit” (People’s Day) at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Kakching. 28 line departments opened their stalls to deliver public services and address public grievances during the day. Altogether, 136 grievances/applications were received, and 43 people attended.
District Social Welfare Office, Kakching has issued and received as many as sixty-six application forms pertaining to MOAP, disabilities, CMST, carers, and widows.
The Medical Department issued one CMHT card, the DSO (CAF & PD) issued seven new ration cards, five new members were added to the ration card, and one member was deleted.
The District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyam gi Numit for Kamjong district were observed at Thawai (T) village of Phungyar sub-division. The Kamjong District Administration organised the event, which took place at the village’s community hall.
Deputy Commissioner, Rangnamei Rang Peter; Superintendent of Police, P Manjit; ADM, Ningreingam Leisan; CEO, David Kashung Nao; and Secretary of Thawai Village. Kharaomi attended the programme as an important dignitary on the dais. Top civil and policy-level officials of the district and other district-level officers of the various government departments attended the event.
In the event that witnessed hundreds of public in attendance, a total of 32 district-level offices (DLOs) opened their mobile stalls to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public. Among the most active stalls were the CMO, ICDS, DSWO, District Horticulture & Soil Conservation, SDO office, DIO, etc.
On Friday, the District Administration Kangpokpi hosted the 8th District Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit at the Bungte Chiru Community Hall in the Kangpokpi District.
Deputy Commissioner, Kengoo Zuringla, inspected various stalls opened by the departments at the community hall. She welcomed the general public and asked them to address their grievances and other issues to the department officials without any hesitation so that they get the maximum help and assistance.
During the event, services related to health were provided by a medical team led by the CMO, and cards related to various schemes were distributed to the beneficiaries. Benefits of schemes related to the departments of horticulture, agriculture, veterinary and animal husbandry, and social welfare
The District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyamgi Numit were also organised at Pherzawl by the District Administration for the month of March at the Office Complex of the Pherzawl DC Camp Office. SP Pherzawl, A. Ghaneshyam Sharma; ADC, Sachi; Programme Coordinator (District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyamgi Numit); Addl. SP, Lunzamung Tungnung; SDO (Tipaimukh/Vangai), I Dinesh Kumar Singh; and other DLOs led by the DC, Haulianlal Guite, attended the event.
Altogether, 500 plus services/benefits of different government schemes/benefits were delivered to beneficiaries.
