DC Thoubal distributes CMHT cards and other benefits on ‘Meeyamgi Numit’

He said the District Administration could solve the problems and grievances of the public.

Imphal: “Meeyamgi Numit” (People’s Day) was successfully organised by the District Administration Thoubal  Friday at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex for the month of October. As done in preceding months, Dc Thoubal, A. Subhash Singh, heard various grievances and demands of the public personally. 

Speaking to the media, the Deputy Commissioner said earlier “Meeyamgi Numit ” was held only in the state capital. However, to meet the needs and grievances of the people living in the far-flung areas, now the program is held in the District Headquarters.

He said the District Administration could solve the problems and grievances of the public. He said most of the grievances are related to old age pension schemes, CMHT cards and the District Administration is trying its best to solve the problems and grievances of the public along with the concerned departments at the earliest. 

The Deputy Commissioner also distributed CMHT cards to eighth beneficiaries. Ten licenses were also distributed by the Deputy Commissioner which is issued by Food Safety Administration Thoubal. He also distributed various items like Micro nutrients and water testing kits to farmers and fishermen issued by Agriculture &Fishery departments. Gas connections were given to ten(10 )women beneficiaries under the Ujjwala scheme by the Deputy Commissioner. 

More than 250 written applications were received today relating to different schemes like CMHT Card, old age/ Widow pension card, weaver card, housing schemes and others during the programme. 

 Twenty (20) stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public including Police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary, Agriculture and Fishery.

SP Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS, CMO Thoubal, Dr.Y.Nokul, all Sub- Divisional Officers, and other District level Officers of different departments attended the programme to address the grievances of the general public.
