Day temperature above normal at many places in Assam and Meghalaya

Mainly dry weather has prevailed in west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Pune: Day temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Assam and Meghalaya; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch and Vidarbha; at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, east Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

They were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at a few places over Bihar; at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh; below Normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at many places over Andaman, Nicobar Islands and Bihar; at a few places over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Telangana, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe Kand near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 44.1°C was reported at Bramhapuri (Vidarbha).

Thunderstorm observed (from 0830 hrs IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today) at isolated places over Jammu, Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal,
Sikkim, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Lakshadweep and Kerala. 

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Odisha and South interior Karnataka and at a few places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka and Kerala.
