COVID: Recovery tally go up in Maharashtra

This is the seventh consecutive day when more recoveries were reported than new cases across in the state. With this, total number of recoveries goes up to 48,26,371 in the state.

Mumbai: A total of 59,318 COVID patients were discharged after recovering from the virus in the past 24 hours, according to the state health bulletin issued on Sunday.

This is the seventh consecutive day when more recoveries were reported than new cases across the state. With this, the total number of recoveries goes up to 48,26,371 in the state.

Meanwhile, 34,389 new COVID-19 cases and 974 deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours.

The fresh surge has taken the infections tally to 53,78,452, while the death toll to 81,486, as per the bulletin.

The recovery rate has now shoot up to 89.74 per cent due to more recoveries of patients. The fatality rate is 1.52 per cent.

The state has 4,68,109 active cases now undergoing treatment, the bulletin added.
