COVID recoveries continue to outnumber daily affected cases in Arunachal

The recovery rate further improved to 98.97 per cent, while the positivity rate came down to 0.52 per cent and the death rate was 0.51 per cent.

Itanagar: The COVID-19 recoveries in Arunachal Pradesh continue to outnumber the daily infections as the state has been witnessing a downward trend in the pandemic situation.

The mountainous state registered 16 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours that upped its tally of confirmed cases to 54,881.
Seven of the new cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and four from the West Kameng district. Of the total cases, 13 were found to be asymptomatic and three symptomatic.

On the contrary, as many as 120 COVID patients have recuperated from the disease in the period that dipped its active caseload below the 300-mark and mounted the total number of recovered/discharged cases to 54,316.

The recovery rate further improved to 98.97 per cent, while the positivity rate came down to 0.52 per cent and the death rate was 0.51 per cent.

There are 285 active cases in the state at the moment. West Kameng has the highest 55 active cases, followed by Lower Dibang Valley (51) and East Siang (32).
Arunachal Pradesh has recorded 280 COVID-19 deaths till now.
