Imphal: Manipur continues to maintain a clean slate for the fourth consecutive day Saturday as far as Covid related death is concerned. The cumulative death toll remains steady at 2002. The state also saw 19 new coronavirus infection while 11 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 19 persons from the general population who tested positive, eight are from Imphal West, four each from Imphal East and Thoubal and three from Bishnupur. Altogether, 909 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.2 %.
Meanwhile, 11 persons recovered and were discharged, three each from JNIMS, CCCs and RIMS and two from home isolation. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.24 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,807 out of which 1,23,598 have recovered, leaving 207 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 31, 2021, is 1,873, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,16,098 (1st dose 13,25,023, 2nd dose 9,91,075).
