Covid active cases in Manipur fall below hundred Saturday

Imphal: Manipur reported 13 Covid positive cases in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm on Saturday. During the same period, 28 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 13 persons who tested positive, four are from Imphal East, three from Churachandpur, two each from Bishnupur and Tamenglong, one each from Imphal west and Chandel. Altogether, 339 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 3.8 %.

Meanwhile, 28 persons recovered, 15 Discharged, nine from home isolation, Two from SHRI and one each from RIMS and CAPF. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.40 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 599 of which 1, 37,360 have recovered leaving 96 active cases in the state.

As of August 19, 2022, 36 -type oxygen cylinders and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 20, 2022, is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 12 are occupied and 26 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which eight are occupied and 54 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 19, is 786, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,53,360(1st dose 16,24,752, 2nd dose 12,96,551) and the precautionary dose is 2,32,057.
